Halfman is a place for occasional notes from the margins of medicine; the edges where public meets private, the personal meets the professional, and healthcare meets healing.

I write from the perspective of a British doctor working part-tine in primary and unscheduled care. I have also trained as a craniosacral therapist and teacher of the Alexander Technique.

As the NHS turns 60 I have a growing interest in the history, philosophy and politics of that organisation, which I hope to develop in this blog.
